Cub Scout Day Camp - Lake Charles
Summer time is the perfect time for Cub Scout Day Camp! Join us for:
Invention Convention
Our Day Camp team has put together an amazing adventures for your 1st through 5th graders. Registration includes a camp shirt and patch. There will be tons of great program items that will make this an amazing week for your Cub Scout! We are partnering with Pick It Up, Calcasieu! to have Trashformer, giving your Cub Scouts the opportunity to earn the Conservation Good Turn Award.
Day Camp Details
Dates: May 27 - May 30, 2025 (Tuesday - Friday)
Location: St. Luke-Simpson UMC, 1500 Country Club Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Who: Registered Cub Scouts (if the youth is not registered, please let us know so we can get you to a unit in the area to sign up.)
Rates:
- Youth/Cub Scout Participants
- $110 (Early Rate before 4/20/2025)
- $125 (Base Rate from 4/21/2025 to 4/30/2025)
- $140 (Late Rate from 5/1/2025 to 5/24/2025)
- Youth/Scouts BSA (13+) Participants
- No cost for volunteers
- Adult Participants
- No cost for volunteers
Camp Shirts: Camp Shirts are not guaranteed after April 30, 2025. We will share the color of the t-shirt needed to participate in camp activities.
If you would like to order an additional camp shirt for your Cub Scout, please order one in the Product section at the bottom of the page before "check out".
Food: Parents are responsible for packing their Scout’s lunch, snacks, and drinks.
They will need a refillable water bottle.
Clothing: A camp shirt, shorts with pockets, and belt loops are recommended. Closed-toed/closed-heel shoes and socks are required, (i.e. tennis shoes, etc.) No sandals or Crocs.
Volunteer Information:
- Packs must provide adult volunteers.
- THERE MUST BE ONE (1) ADULT FOR EVERY THREE (3) CUB SCOUTS (1:3 Ratio)
- THERE MUST BE ONE (1) ADULT FOR EVERY (1) TIGER CUB (1:1 Ratio)
- Adults who sign up to volunteer and later find themselves unable to attend Day Camp are asked to find a replacement.
- Day Camp cannot happen if we do not have volunteers to assist the Scouts with their fun learning experience!
- All staff/volunteers must have a valid Youth Protection Training certificate.
- All staff/volunteers must wear the official camp T-shirt.

Parts A and B of the BSA Annual Health and Medical Record are required for all participants/volunteers on site. These can be turned in and camp shirts picked up on May 26 from 9-11 a.m.
