About Us
The Calcasieu Area Council is comprised of 6 Parishes (Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis, and Vernon).
Mission
The mission of the Calcasieu Area Council is to help strengthen our community and families through Scouting by:
- Serving over 1,000 families in SWLA this past year.
- We are in the process of adding 5+ scouting programs this year.
- Camp Edgewood, the only remaining youth camp in all of SWLA, has been serving the families and youth for over 70 years.
Scouting continues the 115+ year tradition of being the leadership factories in the communities we serve. Come join the family and help change someone’s stars… who knows, it could be yours!
