Join us for an unforgettable rafting adventure on the scenic English Bayou!

Join us for an unforgettable adventure on the scenic English Bayou! Hosted by Camp Edgewood’s Youth-Led Venturing Crew, Cub Scout Packs, Troops, Crews, Ships, prospective members, and guests are all welcome to take part in a fun-filled day of creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition. Build your own 4–6-person human-powered raft—decorate it, show off your craftsmanship, and then race it along **NEW**.5 miles**NEW** of beautiful waterway. Adults are encouraged to help with construction to ensure safety and success. Awards will be given for fastest raft, best decoration, and best overall build.

For everyone’s safety, all units must follow Safety Afloat guidelines, including wearing life jackets, meeting required adult-to-youth ratios, and having swim tests and training records available at check-in. Units not meeting these requirements will not be able to participate.

Registration is just $10 per raft (non-refundable). When registering, simply provide your raft’s name, the unit leader in charge, and a short description of your creation. Final crew lists will be confirmed at check-in.

Check-in begins at **NEW**Habibi Shriners 2928 Pack Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70615**NEW** before we head to the boat launch. We can’t wait to see your creativity, teamwork, and Scout spirit on the water!

When planning what to build and when, it is preferred and recommended that the raft be constructed prior to the event and transported on a trailer. This allows participants to get on the water and begin racing promptly. It is also recommended that the raft be tested in advance to ensure proper flotation and allow sufficient time for any necessary adjustments. Any items that may come loose during transport may be secured at the check-in location.
