2022 National Order of the Arrow Conference

Q: What is a NOAC?

A: The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is the flagship national Order of the Arrow event. It is held every two years at a major university campus and is typically attended by as many as 8,000 Arrowmen from all 50 states. It is second only to the BSA National Jamboree in size and scope. Our largest conference was in 2015, attended by more than 15,000 Arrowmen to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow. We expect at least 6,000 Arrowmen to attend in 2022.

Q: When and where will NOAC be held?

A: NOAC will be held July 25 – July 30th, 2022 at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. UT Knoxville also hosted the 1977, 1992, and 2000 national OA conferences.  Our congintent will leave on July 24th, travel to Chattanooga to spend the night and have a bit of fun before heading for check in at NOAC on the 25th. Q: Who can attend NOAC?

A: Any registered member of the Boy Scouts of America and the Order of the Arrow as of the conference start date. Attendance requires the review and approval of your council Scout executive or their designee. All attendees are required to provide BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (AHMR) forms A&B. Adults also require up-to-date BSA Youth Protection certification.

Q: How much does NOAC cost to attend?

$800 for those who pay the $575 by December 10th (non-refundable).  Remainder due by May 15, 2022.

$850 for those that wish to make payments into the 2022 year ($100 deposit due at sign up which is non-refundable).

Q: How do I register?

A: Delegates will register directly with us on this page.  The Lodge handles all communications with National OA as we move through the process.

Q: Where will we be housed?

A: Contingents and staff will be housed and eat meals in University residence halls located throughout campus. Linens and towels will be provided.

Other Information you need to know:

We will be traveling together in one vehicle and this is incorporated into the price of fuel for our trip.  

The food for travel days is built into our budget and all food and lodging while at the conference is also included.  The only extra funds an attendee might need would be for souvineers and snacks outside of regular meals.

We have a small contingency fee included in the price and believe that any changes to the pricing will only be in the form of a reduction of the overall total.  Any funds not used will be returned to the individuals equally.

We anticipate having our first contingent meeting the first week of November to further discuss ideas for activities, patches, payment plans and more.  If you are not sure about registering, no worries!  Be on the look out for a notice of this first meeting so you can ask questions.

It again is good to note that the Early Bird Price with national means that those individuals who wish to get the lower rate overall ($800 vs. $850 for the total trip) must have paid the national fee of $575, which is non-refundable no later than December 10th.  We must transfer those funds to National Order of the Arrow no later than December 15th.  You may make payments on the remainder of the balance due by calling the Scout office and paying via credit/debit or by sending in a check.  All funds must be paid in full no later than May 15th, 2020.
