Catholic Committee on Scouting

In the Spirit of Scouting and the Good News of the Gospel message, the Calcasieu Catholic Committee on Scouting is thankful to serve the Scouts within the Diocese of Lake Charles. The National Catholic Committee on Scouting® (NCCS) exists to utilize and ensure the constructive use of the program of the BSA as a viable form of youth ministry with Catholic youth of our nation.

2021-2022 CALENDAR

God Is Love Emblem Class

Join us for God Is Love religious emblem class.  This VITRUAL class is open to all Catholic Girl Scouts between kindergarten and Grade 1.  Cost is $20 for class workbook, emblem, and Bishop’s Brunch.

Light of Christ Emblem Class 

Join us for Light of Christ religious emblem class.    Parent must attend with Scout.  A break will be provided for lunch.  This VIRTUAL class is open to all Catholic Cub Scouts between the ages of 6-7 years old.  Cost $25 for class workbook, emblem and Bishop’s Brunch.  Must complete both meetings.

Parvuli Dei Emblem Class 

Join us for Parvuli Dei religious emblem class.  Parent must attend with Scout.  This VIRTUAL class is open to all Catholic Cub Scouts between the ages of 8-10 years old.  Cost $25 for class workbook, emblem and Bishop’s Brunch.  There will be 3 classes to complete this emblem.

Family of God Emblem Class

Join us for Family of God religious emblem class. This class is open to all Girl Scouts in Grade 2-3.  Cost is $20 for class workbook, emblem, and Bishop’s Brunch.

Ad Altare Dei Emblem Class

Ad Altare class will begin on October 1, 2020.  Classes will continue every 2 weeks for 10 sessions.  We will alternate virtual and in-person classes as needed.  Class open to all Catholic Scouting BSA 15 years or older.  Cost $25 for class workbook, emblem, and Bishop’s Brunch.

Pope Pius XII Class

Pope Pius class will begin on Sunday, March 14th.  Classes will continue on the 2^nd Sunday of every month for the next 12 months.  Classes offered online between 1:00-2:30pm.  Class open to all Catholic Scouting BSA 15 years or older.  Cost $25 for class workbook, emblem, and Bishop’s Brunch.
